Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
The quote form works with just six pieces of information: your gender, date of birth, self-reported health level, tobacco history, the amount you want to insure, and how many years you need coverage. No name, email address, or phone number is needed to view quotes.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
What you see are the rates quoted by each carrier for the health classification you selected at the outset. Your final rate gets confirmed by the carrier during underwriting, which might accept, lower, or adjust your classification. These quotes are estimates and should not be treated as a guarantee, a price promise, or acceptance assurance.
What happens when I click Apply?
You'll provide your full name, and then your quote information automatically fills in the application form. The form continues on the carriers' own secure platform. You can close the application and resume it later without losing your information, and signature happens electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency, handles the processing end.
Will I need a medical exam?
It's situation-specific and depends on which carrier you choose, the coverage amount you're seeking, and your health profile. Some carriers offer fast-track decisions for eligible applicants; each quote on the Vista site notes whether an exam is required, is possible, or won't be needed.
Is a longer term better?
Your term protects against the possibility of lost income during the years it matters most: while you have a mortgage, while your children are young, while you have business responsibilities. A 20-year or 30-year option lets you lock in a rate for the duration you need. The quote tool makes it simple to compare costs across all these timeframes for every carrier.
Does this site sell my information?
